Starting a business can be both an exciting and challenging experience. The City of Chamblee, GA requires all businesses operating within the City to obtain an Occupation Tax Certificate prior to commencing business operations.

Alcoholic Beverage and Massage Establishment License Applications may also be submitted online for the City’s review prior to the establishment’s sale of alcoholic beverages, or the provision of massage services.

The easiest and fastest way to apply, pay a balance due, and renew an existing certificate or license is by using the City’s online portal. What is the process for Applying for an Occupation Tax Certificate?

The general process by which an Occupation Tax Certificate is issued by the City of Chamblee, GA is as follows:

  1. A full and complete online application is received
  2. A zoning review is completed by City of Chamblee Planning Department
  3. City of Chamblee Life Safety and any Dekalb County permitting inspections are completed
  4. Payment of the Occupation Tax
  5. Final issuance of City of Chamblee Occupation Tax Certificate

  5. Final issuance or denial of City of Chamblee Alcoholic Beverage License

What is the process for Applying for a Massage or Spa Establishment License?

The general process by which a Massage or Spa Establishment License is issued by the City of Chamblee, GA is as follows:

  1. A full and complete Massage License Application is received and reviewed by the City
  2. Annual Massage License and Investigative fees are paid
  3. Police Department investigation or onsite inspections are completed
  4. Final issuance or denial of City of Chamblee Massage or Spa Establishment License
